Bath Trip
Roman Baths- so much history, a must do, gives Bath its name. buy tickets in advance. Landrace- bakery Beau Nash- antiques Henrys- chain but cute lunch spot Raphael Wine Bar - British food meets wine bar Sotto Sotto- very romantic, highly rated Italian spot. on my list when i return Swoon- popular gelato spot The Botanist- cocktail spot with live music Giggling Squid- chain but cute Thai food spot & popular in bath Beckford Canteen- one of my favorite restaurants maybe in UK. can buy a bottle up at Beckford bottle shop and take to dinner. Must order panisse (chickpea fries)! Also, they are known for their potatoes and certainly for a reason- they are amazing! Also, very allergy friendly (gf) Beckford Bottle shop- same owners as above, great dinner spot (small plates), also great for a glass of wine before or after dinner India Jane- furniture store (also location in London) has great sales, 20 Milsom street. Google is now saying perm closed and I hope that is not true. We purchased a lamp and a chair here- made a great trip home on the train. The Queensberry Hotel- cute boutique hotel, has a Michelin star restaurant and great bar. Evan and I had lunch at the Michelin, olive tree restaurant (see below). The Royal Crescent- probably the nicest hotel in Bath. Large grounds with outdoor garden, multiple restaurants and bar. Stunning interior lobby. If you are having a boujee weekend, this would be my hotel recommendation. Olive Tree Restaurant- Michelin at the Queensberry Hotel. open for lunch and dinner. Evan and I went for a Sunday lunch- super charming and delicious. Have options on course size- could do 3 course, 4, 6 or 9 course meal! Also able to accommodate all allergies. The Hare and the Hounds- pub with cute outdoor grounds perfect on a nice weather day! |
