Cantebury Weekend Trip Itinerary
Stay at the Pig in Bridge Friday Night Walk to dinner at Bridge Arms- A Michellin starred quaint pub with delicious food (must get the fried chicken, its gf). such a good atmosphere- neighborhood pub meets fine dining. Gave me holiday vibes! Finish up with drinks at the Pig hotel bar playing board games Saturday start the morning with a run (aka frolic through the farms) head to Cantebury for breakfast at Kitch (14 min drive- call taxi or drive; buses can be quite slow) Kitch is a healthy breakfast option (gf, df, vg options) with cocktails & delicious coffee & matcha drinks. Walk around the small town to see Cantebury Must see the Cathedral drive to the winery tour at Chartham wines drive to White Cliffs of Dover (a bit of a drive) head back to the Pig & enjoy dinner at the restaurant on site, the 25 Mile Menu; produce grown in garden on site or sourced from local suppliers) Sunday have breakfast and/or lunch at the Pig (breakfast stops being served at 10 and picks up at noon; can also eat in garden which serves noon to 6 pm) Other Spots to Try (near Kent) Gilda- voted best bread in Kent, get the cinnamon bun & sausage roll Fordwich Arms- Michelin star; same owner as bridge arms The Pound Good Shed Restaurant Refectory Kitchen Boys Hall Simpsons Wine Estate |
