Suppose you need a 30-hour guide to Nashville. I have got you covered. My best friend, since I was in 8th great moved to London in 2020 for grad school. I had not seen her for over a year. She was in Texas for a bit with a packed schedule. We decided to meet in the mid-week between Chicago and Texas, so Nashville it was! We flew in on Tuesday afternoon. We stayed at the Joseph in downtown Nashville. Large rooms and bathroom with a great rooftop bar and pool. The hotel had a spa and gym, but we did not use either. The first night we got in was a Tuesday, so many places were closed. However, since our dinner was in Germantown, we asked our concierge what he recommended over there. We ended up at Butchertown hall. So many people were there! I was shocked for a Tuesday.
Everyone was on the patio, with dogs, enjoying margs and queso! After drinks, we walked up the street to Henrietta Red. A spot with a bunch of shareable small plates. We tried some of the favorites: beet salad, butternut squash salad, crispy shrimp snack, grouper, and spaghetti and clams. We also ordered the scallop dish; it was not something we would order again. Perhaps the broccoli toast next time! The next day, I woke up and went to the Gulch cycle bar for a spin class. The instructor was great, and I loved the class. I walked through the gulch after class and stumbled upon Juice Bar. It is right by the famous wing mural that everyone takes pictures. In the afternoon, we checked out Ryman Theater, the original grand ole opry to be a bit touristy. You can tour the interior for about 30 dollars. We decided to check out the outside and walk down Broadway Street. Also, the country music hall of fame is close by if you care for a tour. It too will cost you about thirty dollars a person. Post our touristy afternoon adventure. We headed to lunch. We were supposed to go to the Butcher and the Bee, which came highly recommended to us. They were closed for construction, so we went to Epice instead. It was on 12South St. where we wanted to do some bopping and shopping. Epice is the perfect lunch spot. Be prepared for small portions. I ordered a delicious soup, but the amount was so tiny, so I had to get something on top of it. Jenna got the lamb sandwich which came with the best lemony potatoes that were delicious french fries. The patio at this restaurant was popping. The perfect spot for a ladies' lunch date! After lunch, we stumbled into the shops on 12th St. The mercantile shop was the cutest. They had great women and men's clothes and gifts for everyone. There was also a jewelry store; Judith Bright is a local designer from Nashville. The other store I liked was Emerson Grace. High-end boutique with trendy clothes. After our shopping adventure, we wanted to check out the Dolly Parton bar. The bar is called White Limozin, and an explosion of pink on the Graduate Hotel's rooftop. The bar opened at 3 pm, and there was a line to get up when we got there at 2:50! We didn't have a reservation, so we were told this was the best option. I would recommend not eating here and just grabbing drinks. Guests have the option to sit by the pool outside or inside in the funky pink furniture. As far as drinks go, everything is premixed. So don't expect the best cocktail of your life. But it is great people watching and fun to see. Make sure to get the champagne jello shots! That night we had drinks at Patterson House and Dinner at Geist. Patterson House was a speakeasy bar. I am not very knowledgeable about cocktails. However, their menu seemed good for the person who likes to adventure in different liquors and cocktail blends. Plus, the bartenders were very knowledgeable. We had a great time here before our dinner in Germantown! Geist had a great interior and exterior design. It too was Poppin! We started with the whipped feta, house bread and then ordered entrees. The entrees we tried were the spaghetti dish and the salmon. I wasn't overly impressed by the salmon, but it was massive! The spaghetti dish looked delicious and also the french fries were so good. I could not stop eating them! After dinner, we thought about Broadway Street and getting drinks at Tootsies (Jenna's favorite bar). However, we went back and had drinks on the rooftop of our hotel bar (Joseph). All in all, it was a great time, and I look forward to going back! Hotels: Urban Cowboy- This eight room hotel on the East side of Nashville caught my eye when I was looking up places to stay.
