Pujol: should have a Michelin; incredible food, very modern dining scene. offers tacos tasting and traditional tasting menu- loved every bite here. make sure to book in advance. Quintonil: top restaurants in cdmx if not the world; tasting menu worth the $$$. Rosetta: one of my favorite restaurants; loved everything about the design of the restaurant, the area, the china (ginori 1735!) and the food. Azul Historico Restaurante: love the building here; has fun rooftop concept and many levels. I barely remember the food but loved the design here. La Casa de las Sirenas: come for lunch for views of the historic downtown sites and gets you out of the chaos. fabulous margs! La Buena Fe: traditional mexican fare, havent been but on my list Mercado Roma: food hall concept; wasnt my favorite spot in mexico city but good to know it exists if you are in the area and need something quick Maximo Bistro: brunch spot but also dinner spot in a chic setting that feels outdoors (but covered). great for date night or fun gals night. rotating menu and tasting menu. tacos, ceviche and traditional mexican dishes. Also, great mexican wine list. Lalo!: desayunos & lunch spot! think hamburgers and pizza Lardo: brunch & lunch spot; great breakfast assortment also has delicious seafood and pizzas. San Angel Inn: brunch spot in a neighborhood setting; ask to sit in the garden. traditional mexican food. Taverna: garden restaurant serving Mediterranean fare. Toro toro: trendy sushi spot in polanco Contramar: seafood restaurant. peoples most recommended spot (with pujol). make sure to get a res. can walk in for lunch but will have a wait. Has other sister restaurant-entremar if you cant get in. Get the tuna tacos here & all the ceviche's. Shops: Roma Quince lots of fun concept stores in hotels and in roma and condesa Bars: Handshake Speakeasy: my favorite bar in Mexico, make sure to make reservations. very posh modern vibes. Limantour: on the worlds 50 best bars list, 2 locations (polanco and roma). Caiman: cute cocktail/wine bar Hanky Panky: loved this bar! and wait til you see how you enter. seems like a small taco joint from the outside! Supra Roma Rooftop: do not judge a book by its cover with this spot. the building (and elevator) may throw you off but this spot has good vibes and great cocktails. also serves a fusion menu. La Clandestino Mezacaleria Treats: helados carmela: ice cream in roma el morro: churros Hotels: The Ritz Carlton Octavia Casa Hotel Brick The St. Regis Mexico City Four Seasons Hotel Mexico City Soho House Mexico City (newly opened) Hotel Condesa DF: part of marriott also great location with fun rooftop Things to do: Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera Frida Kahlo Museo; buy tickets in advance. Castillo de Chapultepec: stunning in the central business district, has great views from the top. one of my favorite things. Ruins Xochimilco: a bit of a car ride but pack a picnic and have fun on the colorful boats! Hot Air Balloons Luchador: this area can get kind of crazy; we bought our tickets on the street which can be risky. but once you get inside so fun and loud. your options for drinks- beer!
