I think Ciccio Mio is my favorite restaurant in Chicago right now. This restaurant group has scored a home run on all of their restaurants. The vibe, décor, music, staff, wine, drinks, and food are all superb! Reservations are hard to snag at Ciccio; they start booking out 14 days in advance. So set the alarm and jump onto Resy when they go live! The restaurant design is dark and romantic/sexy/all of the sorts. The front bar room is stunning. It is what living room goals. My favorite part is that the owner has a standing table in the back with a red and white tablecloth! I won't even mention the bathroom decor and let you be surprised. Let us move on to the menu, starting with the appetizers. Usually, I am not a burrata fan. This dish was so good. I understand why burrata is an appetizer now. Entrees, I have gone the pasta route and the meat/fish route, and I have to say the truffle pasta is the chef's kiss! Soo good! If you are not a truffle fan, the other kinds of pasta top on the list are the rigatoni & lamb gnocchi! If pasta is not your jam, I recommend the salmon or the chicken! I am not going to bother suggesting wine or cocktails because everything is top-notch.
